A macro of tiny cactus hairs. My new macro lens is a 4x by Lensmate. To start with, the G7 takes awesome macros, it is perhaps its best attribute. You’re not supposed to be able to add lenses to the G7 except a couple special Canon lenses, but with an adapter you can add the Lensmate lenses. Because of the design of the G7, you basically have to have it at full extension (6x) in order for the additional lens to work (the adapter clips the field of vision otherwise), so 4x lens times 6x camera = 24x. I mean 24x magnification is way cool, but geez it’s hard to get a focus. The field of focus is very very very miniscule. No pain no gain.

Excuse the subject of this photo, but I thought it was interesting. We found this along a primitive road in the Beaverhead National Forest, in Montana. My brother, the outdoorsman, assured us that this is wolf scat, or what’s left of a meal after it passes through the wolf (Canis lupus). Apparently the wolf had eaten a lot of animal fur of some kind, along with the animal.

One of my Contacts has posted a photo of bear droppings, from North Carolina.

The area of the photo was perhaps 8 inches/3 dm across. You can see the hair more clearly, if you wish to, at the larger sizes.

A macro, of a fly.
I think it’s so funny, that a fly can have so much back hair!!
& The fact that you can see it so well, is pretty awesome too.

Well, finally, I was able to take a pic of all my dollies! I wanted they to be all dressed in black and white, that’s why I haven’t been able to take a photo until now.

It’s strange, but Ichigo is the one who looks less beautiful in this pic. I didn’t like any of her pics >o< Sometimes she’s very difficult to portray!

On the other hand, I LOVE Neliel and Allen in this pic ^^

Nothing looks worse on camera than a badly-done false moustache. Facial hair is one of the most challenging and detail-oriented tasks that a makeup artist is expected to perform on set. Hair laying and wigs have to be perfect every time, every take, every day. If you can master hair laying, then you have a job for life. Students learn how to hand-lay a beard using wool crepe, yak and also human hair, as well as how to “float” a pre-made, hand-laid beard, applying it as a whole piece to a performer.
